Lee Grears - CEO/Managing Director
Lee Grears is the founder and chief executive of the Responsive Group. He plays an active role in the daily workings of Responsive and is a PCN Level 3 in Magnetic particle, penetrant, radiographic, and ultrasonic testing practitioner and a senior welding inspector to CSWIP 3.2.
His past experience includes welding and fabrication having formally been employed by BAE Systems Submarine Solutions before qualifying in inspection and testing working on board Astute class submarines being built in Barrow-In-Furness. Once qualified Lee remained at BAE for 4 more years as a senior inspector before leaving to work closer to home in Whitehaven. Lee's inspection career has included Sellafield, Cavendish Nuclear, and TSP Engineering gaining a vast amount of experience in not just nuclear but also oil and gas, marine, renewables, power generation, and petrochemical.
Mathew Tomkinson - Operations Director
Mathew Tomkinson is an Operations Director of Responsive Training Services Ltd which operates under the Responsive Group, and is responsible for development of training and education in non-destructive testing (NDT) and various other sectors. Mathew is a knowledgeable and skilled learning and development specialist with excellent interpersonal skills and strong skills in designing, conducting and implementing training and educational programmes. With experience of training apprentices in many trades to an Ofsted standard for over 4 years.
In 2010 Mathew joined the British Armed Forces, serving 6 years within the Royal Engineers as a Level 3 Welding and Fabricator. A broad spectrum of skills, from building force protection barriers for the Falkland Island Rapier (missile) sites to constructing Medium Girder Bridges in Kenya. He then had the opportunity to explore and develop his knowlege within the education sector, where he now thrives in sharing this experience and expertise.
Olivia Winter - Operations Lead
Olivia Winter is Operations Lead within the Responsive Group with a specialism in Human Resources, coordinating and overseeing organisational operations of the company.
Olivia started out at Responsive as a customer service apprentice in 2018, since completing a qualification in Human Resources and gaining an associate membership with CIPD she is thriving completing a BA(Hons) degree in Applied Management.
In 2022 Olivia joined the Britain’s Energy Coast Business Cluster’s Shadow Board, where she is passionate about empowering the next generation to promote development and collaboration in our local communities.
