Data Protection Statement

Your privacy is very important to us. This data protection statement describes how we collect and process your information/personal data. Please read and sign below to confirm that you have read and understood this statement.

What information do we collect about you?
We collect data about you if you enrol onto one of our courses, purchase items from us or register to any of our other services. We may also collect personal information if your complete surveys, register for newsletters, provide feedback or participate in competition.

How do we use the information collected about you?
We use the information that you provide us with to provide you with the service that you require. All mandatory fields in our forms are marked with a *. All other non-mandatory information will be used for anonymous statistical analysis.

As well as for providing the services you have requested, we may use the information collected for other purposes, such as marketing. However, we will only use the information for these purposes if you have consented to us doing so.

We make sure that we offer you genuine choice and control over how we use your data. If you wish to withdraw consent or change your preferences please do not hesitate to contact us, using the details below.

The provision of your personal data is necessary to provide our services and fulfil our obligations to the relevant certification bodies. We retain data relating to BINDT training and PCN examinations for 10 years as required by the certification body.

Working and Learning in a Non-threatening Environment

All employees and students employed or learning at Responsive Training Services should be able to work, learn and study in a comfortable and non-threatening environment.

All employees and learners are expected to behave in a non-sexist, non-ageist, non-racist, non-bullying way towards all; the public, their fellow students and fellow employees.

During all activities, including teaching, staff and students will be given the equal opportunity I undertaking whatever activity is being performed, irrespective of their sex, race, disability, age, marital status, religious beliefs, social background or sexual orientation.

Responsive Training Services wishes to make sure that the workplace and training school are free from threats, bullying and harassment. All employees and students are to be treated with dignity and respect.

Responsive Training Services will not tolerate any bullying or harassment to employees and their families, students or other visitors and contractors. Responsive Training Services will not tolerate any ‘cyber’ bullying by electronic means such as email, text or social networking websites.

A breach of any of these policies by Responsive Training Services employees will result in disciplinary action and might result in a student being removed from a training course, should they fail to adhere to our policies.

Complaints Policy

We are dedicated to providing a high-quality training experience to all of our students. When something doesn’t quite go right, we need you to tell us about it.

We take all complaints very seriously and welcome the opportunity to improve our standards to put things right, if we have not performed to our usual high standards.

Should you experience any problems or have a complaint you should; first speak to your tutor. If this is not possible or you feel your complaint has not been dealt with sufficiently then you should raise the complaint with our Training Co-Ordinator, Mathew Tomkinson: Mathewt@responsive.training or one of our admin team at info@responsive.training.

In the very unlikely event that those above are unable to settle your complaint, you should contact our managing director, Lee Grears: Lee.grears@responsivendt.com.

Disability Policy for Students

The facilities at Responsive Training Services are all situated at ground level and access is considered reasonable although there are no wheelchair ramps and doorways are of a standard width.

Disabled toilets are easily accessible within the building.

Responsive Training Services senior personnel are willing to discuss all aspects of the delivery of the training course and the physical requirements that may be included in the course as well as the trainee’s job. These discussions should involve the trainee, the employer and the trainer.

Responsive Training Services is happy to host a short meeting if the client considers that it would be beneficial to see the facilities first-hand, prior to the training event.

Manual Courses – Prior to enrolment on a training course the employer and the potential trainee must carefully consider the physical aspects of the particular job and make a realistic assessment of whether that job could be done by that individual.

Non-destructive testing by its very nature requires manual dexterity and physical agility. There are some areas of industry where components can be tested in a workshop type environment but in the other sectors components which need to be tested are part of much larger structures and ned to be tested ‘in situ’. Transport, power, nuclear, oil and gas and aerospace components may well fall into this latter category.

Booking Terms and Conditions

By booking a course with Responsive Training Services you agree to abide by these Booking Terms and conditions.

Provisional Bookings
Provisional bookings can be made by phone or email but will expire after 15 working days unless a booking confirmation has been received.

Booking Confirmation
For a delegate to confirm his or her place on a course, a Responsive Training Services booking form should be completed and sent to Responsive Training Services by post or email. If you have multiple delegates, please complete a separate booking form for each one. Joining instructions will be sent to confirmed delegates approximately 2 weeks before the start of the course.

Payment of Fees
A deposit of £200.00 or a formal purchase order must be sent to Responsive Training Services along with the completed booking form. Please not that to guarantee your course place full payment must be made two weeks before the course is due to start.

Privacy and Data processing
By booking a training course you consent to our processing of both you and your delegates data as required to provide the training. Your data will be shared with the relevant Awarding Body as necessary. Full details can be found in our Data Protection Statement.

Delegate Behaviour
Delegates are expected to behave professionally at all times during the course. Responsive Training Services may remove a delegate from a course (without refund of fees) if a delegate is behaving unreasonably or in a disrespectful manner towards other delegates or any member of staff.

Cancellations
Responsive Training Services reserves the right to postpone, cancel or alter the dates of provision of a course and/or the venue of the course. In the event of cancellation by the delegate the following fees will be payable;

Notice given prior to course commencement;
More than 28 calendar days No charge (Deposit is non-refundable)
14 to 28 calendar days 50% of course fee charged
Less than 14 calendar days 100% of course fee charged

Substitutions and Transfers
Delegate substitution may be made prior to the start of the course without penalty, providing Responsive Training Services is informed in writing. A fee may be payable in the circumstance to cover any examination fees incurred by Responsive Training Services. It is the clients’ responsibility, having referred to the relevant course information, to ensure the course is suitable for the delegates.

There is no charge for transferring your booking to the same course on an alternative date provided you notify Responsive Training Services in writing 14 working days before the start of the course and there is availability. A transfer fee of 20% of the course fee (plus VAT) will be payable if notice is received less than 14 days before the start of the original course.
